Overview
I tested the EVGA GTX 1050 ti GDDR5 in No Man’s Sky at 1080p using low/medium/high and ultra settings. This is real gameplay, not synthetic calculations — so these numbers reflect what you can actually expect.
Test Settings
- Resolution: 1080p
- Graphics Preset: Low / Medium / High / Ultra
- API: DX12 / Vulkan
- Other Notes: No motion Blur or VSYNC
Performance Results
- 1080p Low: 65-135 FPS
- 1080p Medium: 45-70 FPS
- 1080p High: 20-60 FPS
- 1080p Ultra: 15-35 FPS
Gameplay Notes
- No major stutters, crashing or freezing.
- The card starts to run out of VRAM around 1080P medium/high which is a large bottleneck.
- Performance varies heavily depending on area, space exploration consistently gets Much higher FPS than planet exploration.
Recommended Settings
For the best balance of visuals and performance, I recommend 1080p with a mix of low/medium. This keeps the game smooth while avoiding VRAM Limitations.
Final Thoughts
Overall a decent 1080P gamer for Low/medium settings, anything higher than that, and it starts to hit VRAM limits and performance degrades quickly.
