Overview
I tested the Zotac GT 1030 2gb GDDR5 in Battlefront 2 using low/medium/high/Ultra, 1080p, 900p and 720p settings. This is real gameplay, so these numbers reflect what you can actually expect.
Test Settings
- Resolution: 1080p/900p/720p
- Graphics Preset: Low / Medium / High / Ultra
- API: DX12 / Vulkan
- Other Notes: No motion Blur or VSYNC, 100% resolution scale
Performance Results
- 1080p Ultra: ~16 FPS
- 1080p High: ~18 FPS
- 1080p Medium: ~23 FPS
- 1080p Low: ~30 FPS
- 900p Ultra ~23 FPS
- 900p High ~24 FPS
- 900p Medium ~30 FPS
- 900p Low ~40 FPS
- 720p Ultra ~32 FPS
- 720p High ~36 FPS
- 720p Medium ~41 FPS
- 720p Low ~65 FPS
Gameplay Notes
- No major stutters, crashing or freezing.
- The card is HEAVILY limited by its 2gb of VRAM. Even at 720p Low, it was hitting VRAM Limits.
- Found performance degraded when there was lots of explosions/lighting to render.
Recommended Settings
For the best balance of visuals and performance, I recommend 720p with a mix of low/medium. This keeps the game over 40 fps and stable.
Final Thoughts
Overall a has a hard time running battlefront 2 do to its heavy VRAM limitations, but can be playable if visuals are heavily sacrificed.
